Where are you located?
I live in Nassau, New Providence. I also provide photography services on the other islands of the Bahamas ( a travel fee might apply ).
How long do sessions last?
Sessions last on average 1-2 hours.
Do you shoot black & white photographs?
I shoot digital format so black & white, sepia or film styled versions are always available.
Will we get the print release to our photos after our photo session?
All of your images come with a personal print release!
What is your favorite thing to shoot?
I specialize in lifestyle portraiture, fashion and creative editorial photoshoots. I love collaborating with a team and turning an idea into imagery that everyone can add to their portfolio's. I work regularly with designers, bloggers, models, actors etc.
What types of photography do you offer?
All kinds! Mostly people photography, fashion, commercial etc... I love capturing people in an authentic fashion working with mostly natural light. I also offer family lifestyle & portrait photography. I photograph couples & families in their homes or on location to capture natural moments of true emotion.
Do you photograph events?
Yes! Events could be Showers, Birthday's, Family reunions, Rehearsal Dinner's, Corporate Events and Charity Fundraising Events. etc. I also sometimes second-shoot for 2 amazingly talented Bahamian wedding photographers who I can recommend.
I am a commercial client, what is your pricing?
Please contact me, commercial projects vary greatly.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I’m a Nikon girl, I use Full-Frame DSLR cameras with professional lenses. I always carry a flash, backup batteries and a bag full of accessories.
What kind of locations do you recommend?
Most shoots take place outdoors, with the exception of sessions held inside client homes. If you have something in mind, please let me know. I have several go-to locations in and around Nassau and can make suggestions. If possible, choose a place that is meaningful to you, or look through my portfolio and let me know which images speak most to you. The connection between people is important and the environment can enrich the story.
What time of day should we schedule a photoshoot?
Beautiful light is the key to your perfect photos! I love the light during the morning and golden hour. 1-2 hours after sunrise, and 2-3 hours before sunset are the ideal times for outdoor sessions, but we can always shoot during a time that works best for you and I cater to the look you want.
Is it possible to reschedule?
Please contact me 1 week prior to the shoot date if you need to reschedule. If something unavoidable arises, we will find a time in the very near future that works for everyone. Please remember that session fees/deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to your new shoot date.
What if it rains?
Outdoor photo sessions can be very rewarding, but they also depend on good weather. If bad weather threatens to mar a scheduled photo session, I will keep in contact with you as the day of the session approaches so we can decide whether to reschedule to another convenient time. Rescheduling can be frustrating but trust me, once you receive your photos bathed in incredible, radiant natural light, you’ll know … it’s worth the wait.
How can I pay for my session and my prints?
Please refer to my Ordering Prints Guide. I have partnered with WHCC, a quality lab in the USA. Robyn Damianos Photography accepts credit card or PayPal even if you don’t have a PayPal account.
What happens to my files?
After a session I spend about an hour downloading and backing up files to ensure they are safe.
When can I see my images?
Approximately 1 week after the session, you'll receive a password protected online gallery where you can view previews of your photos with basic image corrections applied. Once you have selected your favorites, the final editing process begins. I put just as much heart into my post processing as I do my shooting, which is why it takes time.
How has being a model influenced your photography?
I know how it feels to have your picture taken. I never liked having my picture taken until I learned how posing, angles and light can be used to create beautiful imagery. After working with so many photographers, I understand how to make the subject feel relaxed and I’m comfortable directing them if they need help with posing. I love working with people and we always have a lot of fun on shoots.
Okay I'm ready - How do I book my session?
First, Email me or fill out the contact form HERE. Do not hesitate to describe to me your approach: what type of session you want, possible dates, locations you have in mind and the number of people who will be photographed. I'll reply as soon as possible and once we are able to confirm the date, time and location of your session you will be provided with a link to complete the contract and transfer a deposit to hold your session date.
*I do get booked up well in advance around Easter & Christmas, so it's best to book early if you want Christmas cards or Easter photos.
