Campaign | Bahama Hand Prints

The Bahama Hand Prints Campaign has officially launched!

Bahama Hand Prints was established in Nassau, The Bahamas in 1966. They are known for unique prints, featuring colorful and bold designs. You can find their accessories and apparel in their newly launched boutique at the Island House, or in a range of stores throughout the Bahamas. Owned by Bahamians and made exclusively at the factory here in Nassau, they are a favorite Made in the Bahamas brand for locals and international visitors year round.

I modeled for Bahama Hand Prints years before starting my career as a photographer. I have always been a fan of their beautiful, island style and wearable designs. You could just imagine my excitement when it came to planning the advertising campaign shoot for this historical brand!

The Four Seasons, Ocean Club Resort on Paradise Island granted us permission to use their spectacular property for the campaign shoot. Working closely with the resort team, myself and the owner of Bahama Hand Prints planned a scouting day ahead of the shoot and created a schedule that would work for everyone involved. With their spectacular ocean views, numerous pools, tropical gardens and the world-renowned Paradise Island Beach we were truly spoilt for locations and backdrop options.

Shoot day started early with a 6 a.m. call time. Everyone met in the Four Seasons hotel lobby for a headcount before taking a golf cart to one of the private villas. With a little music, plenty of coffee and a breathtaking view overlooking Paradise Island beach, everyone setup to begin hair and makeup prep for our models. You could already tell the day was guaranteed to be a successful campaign photo shoot.

Our goal was to photograph multiple outfits from their new collection using a range of different backdrops. We ended up shooting more than expected, with time to spare! One of my favorite pieces from the day was a pineapple print beach pant. We styled the beach pants with a bright yellow, palm frond print beach bag, and a classic white tank top.

I couldn’t have hoped for a more productive photo shoot, working with such an incredible team of creative professionals. Everyone had fun as we kept to schedule and created striking banner images to be used on the Bahama Hand Prints website and their social media advertising.

At the end of the day, everyone on the team shared their Behind the Scenes photo snaps and Instagram boomerangs. I love seeing these kinds of clips as I’m always too busy and focused on the final product during the shoot to take any myself. Scroll down to view a collection of favorites from the day!
